If you are on a budget but would like to relax by the Nile, Umm Kulthum Park is an affordable place where people can have a meal. The entrance fee is minimal and it's well kept.

I hope this helps you as if it helps me! but before going to Egypt also check their travel advisory from time to time they might have been changes since last year.

Egypt is such a hit and miss place for me - we've had some amazing experiences, but also some pretty awful ones!

I would recommend anyone with even a passing interest in Egyptology go to the Egyptian Museum in Cairo - I've never seen anything like it. 20 years ago my husband made me spend nearly all of our honeymoon in this place
