My go to is Charles Schwab debit card. It rebates all ATM fees globally and you get a better rate that a money changer. There is no fee to open an account and unlimited fee free withdrawals. I only use ATM attached to a bank for safety reasons.
Egypt - Some retailers offer to exchange for a very good rate. Exchange rate was US$1 to 30 EGP when I was there, but a retailer offered me 40 EGP.
 
I love the Charles Schwab debit card for this reason as well! I remember signing up for it, after approved I got a call from them with a guy who seemed really excited about me potentially investing, then I told him I only wanted it because of the ATM fee rebate and the convo got short really fast :ROFLMAO:

It has been an essential in my wallet for many many years.
