Carry On or Checked bag?

I've got a 10-day trip coming up and I'm wondering if it's worth checking a bag. !!!!

I already bought the ticket with a checked bag included, but I'm used to traveling light.

For example, I went to the Emirates for two weeks with just a carry-on. Obviously, both trips were in the summer🌴🍹, so I could pack more clothes.

But my question is...

I'm going to two very different destinations on this trip. One is a big city with a romantic, formal, chic, and elegant vibe✨. The other is all about beaches, pools, casual wear, sandals, bikinis, etc.🌊

Soooo what would you do? Check a bag or stick with the carry-on?
Thank youuuuu ❤️

Oooh toughie!
If I have a checked bag included in my fare then I almost always take one because SHOPPING :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

I love to bring back souvenirs from my travels - I read once that the ultimate flex is when someone asks where something is from and you can name a country instead of a shop!

Well, it depends on what you are planning to do. You can always do laundry or improvise your clothing by turning a nice beach wrap into a dress.

I'm going to Singapore for 10 nights sometime next month and am just bringing a carry on. I'll buy an umbrella when I get there to double as my hiking pole:ROFLMAO:

My vote is carry on:)

I am carry on for life!

Nothing I hate more than having to wait at baggage claim. Plus when trying to make a connection after customs it can really make or break whether you get to your flight on time.

Yesterday, I came back into the country through Charlotte with a one-hour layover. If I didn't have Global Entry I definitely wouldn't have made it, and if I had checked a bag my chances would have been slim as well!

With Global Entry and no checked luggage I was to my gate in about 15 minutes. It would have been at least 30 minutes just in the normal customs line and I doubt I'd have made it with a checked bag too.

That sounds like an amazing 10-day trip with such different vibes between destinations. For the city part, I would definitely check a bag to allow for more options in clothing. You'll want to feel your best exploring the city and having more formalwear choices gives you flexibility. As for the beach part, you could pack lighter there with wraps, coverups and sandals to maximize your space. I'd use the checked bag for the city, switch out some clothes mid-trip, then use it to bring souvenirs home! Checked bags usually make laundry less crucial too. Have an incredible trip!

I hadn't thought about the laundry but that made me laugh! I cook and do laundry every day at home, so they're 2 things I definitely won't do when i'm on holiday :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
